The practice of permaculture, the harmonious integration of landscape and people, is a system of designing ecological human habitats through decision making and problem solving protocols based on the patterns of nature to create abundance, regenerate the land and build resilient communities.

We approach developing a site for building through this eco-logical  lens, identifying locational patterns in the environment that depict the distinct character and potential of a place. We look to observe these relationships and integrate buildings within these natural systems. Solar orientation, hydrology, topography and native habits as well as potential for new habitats are all factors that are considered to inform the siting of buildings, roads, and utility.
