Wild Earth

Wild Earth is a not-for-profit that runs nature-based programs for children, teens, families and adults. Wild Earth leads transformative nature immersion experiences that cultivate character, confidence, passion and perseverance in New York youth.

The pavilion is a space to gather in circle around fire. This land is 100 acres situated  along the edge of Minnewaska preserve on the northern side of the Shawangunk ridge. The frame is hand cut mortise and tenon- Hemlock, Chestnut oak, white oak, red oak, white pine and red pine. The roof structure is reciprocating with each 25' red pine rafter scribe cut and nestled to fit and form one integrated and woven whole. The cupola is hammered copper and the venting for fires.
