Our team is working to hone the craft of natural building and refine the techniques of working materials that are native to our local landscapes. We are inspired by traditional methods of building that have been time tested. Making buildings that last requires an understanding of the materials we select through patient observation and careful attention to detail.

 

Many modern and conventional construction methods use artificial facades to trick the eye. We have been conditioned in our culture towards selecting the new and shiny, however we respond at deep levels to unprocessed materials, idiosyncrasies, and to the personal thought and care expressed in craftsmanship. The genuine qualities of the materials we select are central to the aesthetic of natural building. We work to preserve these qualities and never bury them under layers of unnecessary finishes.
